Almost R280 million in winnings in the lottery have been unclaimed. And R110m of that amount is in the Lotto and Powerball winnings. This money would expire in the next 6 months. Ithuba called all their players to check their lottery tickets. Only in this way, they will get their money. It’s important to know that you can get your money a year after a draw. But after that, your money will disappear. 

In the list of the winning tickets, we can see tickets worth R20 million, and Powerball ticket worth R7 million. But there are more tickets which are winning but no one didn’t come to take their prize. Any unclaimed winnings are transferred to a foundation for redistribution to good causes.

Remember to check your ticket, because you might just win. Every year, a large number of winnings remain unclaimed. Therefore, keep in mind that your ticket is valid for 365 days.
